Founding team around Jonathan Sehlinger wins the Rhineland Pitch with “Hang & Over
The predecessor company of Biohacks has won the first place in the largest start-up pitch competition in Germany – the Rheinland Pitch. The founding team around Jonathan Sehlinger convinced the jury with the anti hangover product Hang & Over®. The team has recently introduced the vegan functional food product and is now working on building up a nationwide distribution network.
The functional food market is considered one of the fastest-growing segments of the food industry. In South Korea alone the anti-catalyst industry has an annual turnover of 150 million euros. Hang & Over wants to establish the company as a leading player between dietary supplements and lifestyle products in Germany and Europe.
“We consider the first place in the Rhineland Pitch both an award and an inspiration. The judges’ vote shows that with ‘Hang & Over’ we have a promising product with great sales potential. The positive feedback from investors, customers and market experts encourages us in our expansion plans. We want to grow further and increase our product sales significantly”, comments Jonathan Sehlinger, founder and managing director, on the award.
